Mimesis Wins Best Feature at The First Living Dead Film Festival in Chicago

Mimesis”, a film directed and produced by a local school in Troy, MI, recently earned several awards of distinction in the first ever Living Dead Film Festival in Chicago.

The film focuses on a group of horror fans attending a horror film convention that soon find themselves unwilling participants in a nightmarish role playing game that pays homage to a classic horror film. The theme of the film fits nicely into its tagline of ‘Why watch a horror film when you can live it’. Recently picked up by Anchor Bay Entertainment for distribution, Mimesis will be released nationally in March 2013.

Mimesis also received great reviews at the New York Horror Film festival last week and received the Best Screenplay award at La Samain Du Cinema Fantastique in Nice, France in October.
