Additional Application Materials:
In order to complete the application you will need to SUMBIT the following additional materials.
1. Personal Essay: Describing your long term career goals in film, why you are a good candidate to attend and how you see the school helping you achieve your goals. (250 word minimum or about 1/2 a page). Be sure to include your name in the letter.
2. Letter of Recommendation: From a non-family member. The letter should include the name applicant being recommended, their relation to the applicant, the name of the person making the recommendation and their contact information (email, phone number or address). Letter should provide reasons as to why the school should consider the applicant for admissions into the program and what qualities they find in in the applicant that would make them a good student.
3. Official High School Transcript. Submit an official transcript from the last school you graduated. If a high school senior, the applicant must an undergraduate transcript when applying, then a final transcript upon graduation.
You will receive an email after this application with instructions on how to submit these additional materials.
Applicants under the age of 18 who are interested in enrolling in The Motion Picture Production Program must have written consent of a parent or guardian.
Once the school receives the application and submission materials you will be asked to attend a personal interview (may be done over the phone or in person).
Notification of Status:
Students can expect notification from the Motion Picture Institute admissions office within ten to fourteen business days after receiving a completed application to arrange the interview. Applicants can expect to receive notification of status within five business days of the interview.
Students accepted into the program will receive a letter of acceptance and a Student Enrollment Agreement that details the terms and conditions of the student's attendance.
HIGH SCHOOL SENIORS who have been approved will sign a Letter of Intent to Enroll to reserve a seat in the program. Upon receiving graduation and submission of their final transcript, the applicant will be invited to sign a Student Enrollment Agreement.
