Talented Film School Alum with Local Roots

While there are plenty of film ‘idea’ makers to be found, the same can’t be said for people who can turn their vision into a real movie. To do that, you have to train and practice through building your technical skills. What better way to build your technique than to complete a one year hands-on filmmaking program? Paige Erlich is an award-winning, independent video producer and director. She came through our doors with some knowledge around video production. She knew that she wanted to do better in her business and needed more formal training to reach the next level in her career. She now lands large corporate clients, employs teams and continues to win awards for her creative work.

Alex & Lucie Gasparetto are Co-owners of their own production company, Lunar Flame Pictures, LLC. While they initially enrolled in film school to learn the movie making process, they ultimately walked away falling in love and are now married. They have created content of all kinds and are currently working on the preliminary stages of their first feature film.

Lyndsay Cwiertniewicz is a Camera Assistant, Wedding Videographer and Photographer. When she enrolled in our one year filmmaking program, Lyndsay had some camera skills developed through her photography work and wanted to expand into other areas of the creative industry. Not only did she make the most of her time on set in class but she also sought out every opportunity to work on real productions that were shooting. MPI has connections with many active directors who recruit students and alum. One project led to another for Lyndsay and today she has three areas that she specializes in. You can find her out and about doing camera work, wedding videography and photography for all types of occasions.

Ian Bensman is a Producer, Small Business Owner and Streaming Specialist. Growing up, he had lots of creative ideas but not many people in his network to collaborate with until he attended MPI. That’s where he began to build his network and soon found that people were coming to him for work. Currently, he has a lot of projects in the pipeline and his roles range from being Creator at Geektainment TV to Co-Founder, CCO at NRM Streamcast.

Jamal Adams is a Director plus Editor and has worked on commercials, music videos and a promo for HGTV. Jamal has always been able to wear multiple hats and came through our doors with lots of big ideas, ready to take on challenges and gain practical experience. He is a hand raiser and go-getter, having edited music for BET Christmas movies, amongst many accomplishments. He credits MPI for connecting him with many of his job leads.
