As Michigan’s oldest and most trusted vocational training school, Motion Picture Institute continues to be the launching point for hundreds of film professionals now working on set in film jobs all over the world from L.A. to Paris. Motion Picture Institute is licensed by the State of Michigan’s Department of Licensing and Economic Opportunity (LEO.) Proprietary School Unit since 1998. The trade school was founded by independent filmmakers Doug Schulze and Kurt Mayry in 1995.
Motion Picture Institute is also a member of the Ohio-Michigan Association of Career Colleges and Schools (OMACCS) and Digital Animation, Film and Television (DAFT).
