Alternative Education Financing
Federal Student Aid Direct Loans and/or Pell grants may not cover the entire cost of attendance. Students are responsible for payment of tuition and course material fees not covered by federal financial aid prior to the start of the program.
After exhausting loan opportunities available from the federal aid programs, many students will consider private loan programs as an additional source of funding. Private education loans are credit-based consumer loans that can be used to pay any post-secondary education related expenses, including tuition and fees, books, and transportation. Always consider your lowest cost options first, including grants, scholarships, and federal student loans.
Motion Picture Institute does not provide a preferred lenders list, we provide students with a list of private education loan lenders that have offered private loans to our students over the past four years. Students should select a private lender of their choice, they are not required to use any of the lenders Motion Picture Institute may have listed. Contact our admissions office for more information. Students should apply first for Federal Student Aid before resorting to private educational loans or Motion Picture Institute Payment Plans.
In-House Payment Plan Options
If approved, Motion Picture Institute will draft a payment schedule on the outstanding balance.
Non-gap MPI Payment Plans (meaning the entire tuition is to financed) requires an additional $3,837.50 down payment before the start of class. Payments begin while the student is in the program. MPI Payment Plans do not extend beyond 12 months. Applicants with low credit ratings will be required to have a co-signor.
